An instant of non-existence is a feature documentary about a small group of friends inside a theatre community in the biggest Slovak village of Serbia. Coming from a Slovak background myself and continually searching for a sense of belonging, I return to meet with them for the 7th time in 10 years with a film and theatre project I want to create together. In this tight knit community with soft borders and a specific feeling of place, this cross between performance and documentary poses the question to each one of the four characters and myself, of: Who am I and how do I present myself to the world?
